Clean Water Transforming Beaufort and Limbé, Haiti

In northern Haiti, the communities of Beaufort and Limbé are experiencing the transformative power of clean water. In a country where less than half of rural families have access to safe drinking water​, these local wells provide a vital lifeline. Beaufort is a small rural community in Haiti’s northern region, and Limbé is a nearby town in the country’s Nord Department. Fresh Well Initiative Inc. currently maintains a well in Beaufort, providing a reliable source of safe water to families. Building on the success in Beaufort, the team is launching a new well project in Limbé to expand our impact.

Access to clean water has already brought positive changes to Beaufort and will do the same for Limbé. It improves public health by reducing waterborne illnesses like cholera and typhoid​, meaning fewer children fall sick and more can attend school. With a local well, families no longer have to walk long distances to collect water, greatly enhancing daily quality of life. Community members take part in maintaining the well, gaining a sense of ownership and new skills. This empowerment helps ensure the water keeps flowing for years to come. Fresh Well Initiative’s work is not only delivering clean water—it’s fostering healthier families, greater opportunities, and hope for a stronger future in both Beaufort and Limbé.

We are on a mission to bring clean and accessible drinking water to underserved communities, and we’ve made BIG strides in Q1 of 2025! So far, we are maintaining a well in Beaufort, Haiti, to ensure clean water access. We've also launched a new well project in Limbe, Haiti, to expand our impact.
